Who is responsible for your data

The controller of personal data collected through this website is Samih Kalakeche, trading as Barouk Energy. You can contact us about any matter relating to your data at advisory@barouk.energy.

What we collect

• Enquiry form: your name, organisation, email address, telephone number if provided, client type and the content of your message, together with the date of submission.
• Email and correspondence: the information you choose to send us.
• Monthly note: your email address and, if you provide them, your name and organisation, together with the date and wording of your consent.
• Website statistics: aggregated, anonymous information on pages viewed, referring sites, country and device type, collected by Vercel Web Analytics without cookies and without identifying individual visitors.

The savings estimate runs entirely in your browser. The figures you enter are not sent to us unless you choose to include them in an enquiry.

Why we use it and on what basis

• To reply to your enquiry and prepare a proposal at your request. The legal basis is the taking of steps at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• To keep a record of enquiries and correspondence and to manage our business relationships. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running the business (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• To meet legal obligations, such as accounting and tax records, where a client relationship follows (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).

To send the monthly note to subscribers. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you may withdraw at any time by replying to any issue or writing to us. Subscriber details are kept until you unsubscribe and then deleted within 30 days.

We do not sell personal data, use it for automated decision-making or send marketing without consent.

Who processes it for us

We use the following service providers, which process data on our behalf under data processing terms:

• Supabase, Inc.: database hosting for enquiries submitted through the form, on servers in the European Union (Ireland).
• Vercel Inc.: website hosting and anonymous website statistics.
• Google LLC (Google Workspace): business email.

Some of these providers are based in the United States or may process data outside the European Economic Area. Such transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, or on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are deleted within 24 months of our last contact. Where an engagement follows, records are kept for as long as required by commercial and tax law, normally six years after the end of the engagement.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction or erasure of your personal data, restriction of or objection to its processing, and a copy of it in a portable format. Write to advisory@barouk.energy. We will reply within one month.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, aepd.es). Residents of Nigeria may also contact the Nigeria Data Protection Commission under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

Cookies

This website does not use cookies or similar tracking technologies, and its fonts are served from our own domain. No consent banner is therefore required.

Changes

We may update this notice. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
